Aldar Education is hiring a KG Homeroom Teacher for Virginia American School in Abu Dhabi, UAE, commencing November 2026. The role focuses on delivering engaging early years learning within an American Curriculum environment while supporting the academic, social and personal development of every child. The successful candidate will plan and deliver differentiated lessons, monitor student progress, use assessment information to strengthen learning and create a positive classroom environment.
The position requires close collaboration with teaching colleagues, parents, curriculum support staff and other professionals involved in children 's development.

The KG Homeroom Teacher will take responsibility for creating stimulating learning experiences that inspire children and help them achieve the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the curriculum and its learning expectations.
- Plan engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
- Prepare and deliver sessions appropriate to the full ability range within the class.
- Organise classroom provision, resources and displays to maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Motivate pupils through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching.
- Observe and assess children in accordance with school assessment procedures.
- Reflect on classroom provision, lessons delivered and progress achieved.
- Adapt the learning environment, curriculum and lesson planning according to identified student needs.
- Embed Virginia American School Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes throughout curriculum delivery.
- Work with curriculum support staff where applicable to strengthen children 's development.
- Collaborate with speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, educational psychologists and other professionals when required.
- Assess and record student development using Target Tracker.
- Use assessment data to guide future planning, classroom provision and intervention.
- Monitor individual and whole-class progress.
- Identify areas where students require additional support or challenge.
- Provide parents and carers with appropriate feedback on student progress.
- Participate in Parent Teacher Conferences and other progress meetings.
Effective communication and cooperation across the school community are important elements of the position. The KG Homeroom Teacher will work alongside fellow teachers to plan curriculum-based learning, liaise flexibly with colleagues and develop positive relationships with students, parents and other members of the school community. The role also involves working cooperatively with curriculum support staff to promote children 's academic and personal development.
