Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver lessons that inspire students to succeed and achieve the best possible learning outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow teachers to plan engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements.

Teaching and Learning
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the curriculum and its requirements.

  • Motivate students through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching.

Assessment and Student Progress
  • Take responsibility for the academic progress of assigned classes.
  • Meet school requirements for assessing and recording student development using Target Tracker.
  • Use assessment data to guide future planning, classroom provision and intervention.
  • Provide parents and carers with appropriate feedback on student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.
Behaviour Management
  • Follow the school 's behaviour policy consistently.
  • Manage classes effectively using approaches appropriate to students ' needs.
  • Inspire, motivate and challenge students while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Exercise appropriate authority and respond decisively when required within school policy.
  • Model the positive attitudes, values and behaviour expected from students.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour while promoting student self-control and independence.
  • Carry out assigned duties in accordance with school policies.
