Aldar Education is seeking a Head of MOE Subjects to join its growing family of schools in Abu Dhabi, UAE, commencing in August 2027. This Primary-Secondary Education leadership opportunity focuses on the strategic development of Arabic First and Second Language provision, curriculum quality, teaching standards, assessment, staff performance, and student achievement. The successful candidate will lead the Arabic department across Years 5 to 13, establish clear improvement priorities, strengthen Arabic language proficiency, and promote UAE culture and National Identity throughout the school.
The role combines educational leadership with curriculum development, performance management, data analysis, quality assurance, and direct support for students and teaching staff.

- Contribute to the school 's overall vision and strategic direction.
- Attend and present at Executive Leadership Team meetings when invited.
- Analyse and interpret relevant school data to inform policies, departmental priorities, and school self-evaluation.
- Develop and implement Arabic department policies and practices aligned with the school 's vision and expectations for student achievement.
- Establish short-term, medium-term, and long-term departmental development plans.
- Use performance and assessment information to identify priorities and areas requiring improvement.
- Develop and strengthen the identity of Arabic First and Second Language provision.
- Maintain a clear strategic focus on improving teaching quality and student outcomes.
Lead the development and regular review of appropriate schemes of work for students from Year 5 through Year 13. Ensure curriculum provision supports continuity and progression while responding effectively to diverse learning needs. Appropriate provision should be maintained for SEN, POD, gifted and talented, and EAL students. Create and lead a departmental vision that encourages innovative learning experiences and consistently high-quality educational outcomes.
Ensure comprehensive curriculum coverage and promote effective progression in Arabic learning across the relevant year groups.
- Establish clear expectations for staff regarding teaching quality and standards of student achievement.
- Evaluate teaching and learning regularly to identify effective practice and priorities for improvement.
- Lead Monitoring, Evaluation and Review processes across departmental provision.
- Ensure appropriate interventions are delivered to support and challenge different groups of students.
- Promote learning environments that support high-quality teaching and student engagement.
- Encourage departmental participation in extracurricular activities, revision programmes, booster initiatives, and wider school activities.
- Promote UAE culture across the curriculum and wider school community.
Take responsibility for leading the organization of International Benchmark Assessments and ensure assessment information contributes meaningfully to departmental improvement. Analyse student data to identify patterns and trends, inform curriculum planning, and determine appropriate interventions. Use evidence from assessment to support improved outcomes across different student groups. Provide targeted support and challenge for Emirati students in Arabic literacy to strengthen academic progression and preparation for post-secondary education.
Leadership and Staff Management- Undertake effective performance management of the Arabic First and Second Language team in accordance with school policies.
- Build constructive professional relationships based on collaboration, support, accountability, and a shared commitment to improving student achievement.
- Conduct regular faculty meetings focused on teaching quality, curriculum development, assessment, and raising standards.
