- Classroom Assistant to join Al Ghad Charter School in Abu Dhabi, UAE, for an immediate start.
This Primary-Secondary Education opportunity focuses on providing targeted academic support to individual students and small groups through subject-specific interventions, classroom assistance, and personalised learning activities. The successful candidate will work alongside teachers and school leaders to deliver structured interventions, monitor measurable student progress, adapt learning resources, and reinforce curriculum objectives. The position combines specialist academic support with classroom responsibilities, student supervision, assessment preparation, and the maintenance of a safe and inclusive learning environment.
PersonalisedLearning and Intervention
- Support individual students and small groups during lessons and structured intervention sessions inside and outside the classroom.
- Use subject-specific expertise in areas such as English, Mathematics, Science, or Arabic to provide targeted academic support.
- Plan and deliver intervention programmes in collaboration with teaching staff.
- Focus interventions on identified learning needs and measurable academic progress.
- Adapt learning materials and teaching approaches to students ' different needs and levels of progress.
- Reinforce key curriculum objectives through targeted classroom and intervention activities.
- Encourage active participation, academic confidence, and greater independence in learning.
- Provide constructive feedback to students during intervention sessions.
- Help students prepare for assessments and examinations through revision strategies, study support, and retrieval practice.
Observe and monitor student performance during classroom learning and targeted interventions. Maintain accurate information about progress and identify areas where additional support or adjustment may be required. Access and update relevant student progress records and data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and inform subsequent planning. Communicate findings to teachers and relevant school leaders and contribute to discussions concerning student progress, intervention priorities, and future support.
CurriculumCollaboration
Work closely with subject teachers and leaders to ensure intervention activities remain aligned with curriculum objectives and individual student needs. Contribute to the planning and review of learning support and coordinate with other support staff where applicable to maintain consistent implementation of shared intervention goals.
Classroom Support- Provide in-class assistance that reinforces key learning objectives.
- Support students in engaging actively with classroom activities.
- Prepare and organize teaching resources and learning materials.
- Maintain resources required for classroom teaching and intervention programmes.
- Prepare displays of student work to recognize achievement and enhance the learning environment.
- Assist with classroom routines, including setting up resources and taking attendance.
- Support end-of-day classroom organization.
Supervise students appropriately in classrooms and other school settings, including corridors, break periods, and educational visits. Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment while supporting positive student conduct. Follow established school requirements relating to health and safety, behaviour, and safeguarding.
