As a Payment Solutions Officer you will take on an expanded role in managing and optimizing the airline’s payment processes and systems. You will support strategic initiatives, collaborate with key stakeholders, and drive improvements in payment technologies, vendor relationships, and regulatory compliance. This position bridges operational execution with strategic planning, offering an opportunity to develop leadership skills while maintaining hands‑on expertise in payment solutions.
Accountabilities- Support the daily operation and ongoing optimization of the airline’s payment infrastructure, ensuring efficiency, security, and scalability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, transaction flows, and error rates, proactively resolving issues to minimize payment disruptions.
- Assist in the integration of new payment technologies, including digital wallets, alternative payment methods, and real‑time payments, to enhance customer experience and revenue opportunities.
- Work closely with IT and third‑party vendors to conduct system testing, upgrades, and enhancements to maintain high availability and optimal processing speeds.
- Support the implementation of fraud detection tools and chargeback management systems to improve security and protect against financial losses.
- Document system configurations, workflows, and processes to ensure operational continuity and compliance with industry standards.
- Act as a primary point of contact for payment service providers, banks, and financial institutions, assisting in contract negotiations and service level agreement (SLA) monitoring.
- Evaluate vendor performance through regular analysis of authorization rates, processing fees, and service quality, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Support reconciliation processes by identifying and investigating discrepancies in payment settlements, refunds, and chargeback disputes.
- Use data visualization tools (Excel, Power BI) to create reports and dashboards that highlight payment performance metrics and areas for improvement.
- Conduct benchmarking analysis against industry best practices and competitor payment trends to recommend enhancements to payment strategies.
- Assist in forecasting payment transaction volumes and financial impacts to support budgeting and financial planning activities. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
- Stay updated on regulatory changes in payment processing, data privacy, and consumer protection laws.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3+ years in payment solutions, financial services, or e‑commerce with experience in data analysis, system support, or vendor management.
Technical
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of payment gateways, merchant accounts, and alternative payment methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) for data analysis and reporting. Familiarity with Databricks databases is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
