Position Overview
First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Islamic Products to support the bank's Shariah‑compliant product offerings. This role will manage a diverse portfolio of Islamic banking products across assets, liabilities, and global markets while driving innovation, compliance, and customer‑centric growth. The AVP will act as the first point of contact for all Islamic product matters and play a critical role in expanding FAB’s Islamic banking proposition locally and internationally.

- Take ownership of the Islamic GTB (Global Transaction Banking) product proposition and related services
- Manage and enhance Islamic banking product lines across assets, liabilities, and global markets
- Develop new Shariah‑compliant products based on market analysis, competition review, and customer needs
- Coordinate with Shariah control, legal, operations, and IT teams to ensure seamless product implementation
- Monitor product profitability, customer feedback, and market trends to refine offerings
- Prepare and review SOPs, MIS reports, and internal presentations related to Islamic banking products
- Deliver training and knowledge sessions on Islamic products across the bank’s network
- Participate in joint customer visits with business teams, providing product structuring expertise
- Support Islamic product rollouts in international locations
- Address compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements related to Islamic products in a timely manner
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Islamic Finance, Shariah, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Islamic banking or Islamic product development
- Strong understanding of Shariah principles, AAOIFI standards, and CBUAE HSA regulations
- In‑depth knowledge of Islamic contracts, documentation, and operational practices
- Solid background in financial analysis and accounting
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to innovate and adapt
