• Analyze, structure, and approve credit proposals within delegated authority for UAE and international private banking portfolios
• Ensure alignment of credit practices with FAB's policies, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite
• Provide expert guidance on facility structuring, documentation, and risk mitigation measures
• Coordinate with coverage and product teams for due diligence, risk ratings, collateral evaluation, and client documentation
• Review and approve credit proposals, annual renewals, and exceptional transactions in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain up‑to‑date risk systems including credit rating models and collateral data for accuracy in risk reporting
• Lead periodic reviews, covenant tracking, mark‑to‑market evaluations, and ensure compliance with approval terms
• Monitor early warning signals, identify potential problem accounts, and recommend proactive remedial actions
• Collaborate with internal teams (legal, CAD, risk functions) to ensure proper risk assessments and audit compliance
• Participate in client meetings to enhance understanding and provide inputs on risk structuring
• Support regulatory audits and contribute to enhancements in credit policy and internal risk tools

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CA, CFA, FRM or equivalent financial certifications highly desirable
• Minimum 10 years of experience in banking with at least 5 years in credit risk or private banking credit roles
• Strong knowledge of credit products including Lombard lending, real estate financing, FX, derivatives, and structured instruments
• Ability to assess complex financial profiles, personal net worth statements, and investment portfolios
• Excellent understanding of regulatory frameworks, legal compliance, and governance structures in MENA and international banking
• Solid communication skills, especially in writing clear, risk‑focused credit memorandums
• Ability to manage pressure, meet deadlines, and drive decisions independently while collaborating across teams
