The Trading Contracts Manager is responsible for ensuring that all trading confirmations and contracts accurately reflect front‑office agreements and comply with ADNOC Trading Limited and ADNOC Group policies. The role works closely with trading, legal, compliance, and operations teams, supporting complex commercial arrangements while safeguarding contractual integrity and risk control.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and approve sales and purchase confirmations, amendments, and counters in line with agreed trading terms.
- Ensure contractual documentation is consistent with system entries and trading economics.
- Ensure all agreements comply with ADNOC Trading Limited and ADNOC policies, including compliance language, governing law, jurisdiction, confidentiality, and sovereign immunity provisions.
- Identify, highlight, and report contractual deviations or breaches to the General Counsel and Head of Trading.
- Support front office and internal stakeholders in resolving contractual disputes and negotiating complex agreements such as term deals, tenders, storage agreements, and master and side letters.
- Review third‑party contractual terms and negotiate amendments to minimize legal, operational, and financial exposure.
- Act as custodian and gatekeeper for contract templates and clauses within the clause database.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and auditable records of all confirmations and contracts in accordance with internal policies and control frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in Law or a related legal discipline.
- Master's degree or professional legal qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum 7 years of experience within trading, operations, or legal functions of an energy trading company.
- At least 4 years of experience in contracts management in a similar trading environment.
- Strong knowledge of legal and contractual frameworks including governing law, Incoterms, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
- Good understanding of trading operations and commercial structures.
- Working knowledge of finance concepts including credit, cost control, and treasury.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast‑paced trading environment.
