Position Overview The Enterprise Risk Management Specialist role at ADNOC Drilling supports the identification, assessment, and mitigation of strategic, operational, and compliance risks across the organization. This position plays a key role in implementing and maintaining an effective Enterprise Risk Management framework in alignment with ADNOC Group policies, ensuring business resilience, regulatory compliance, and sustainable performance.

Role Summary

The Enterprise Risk Management Specialist identifies and analyzes potential risks that may impact ADNOC Drilling's assets, operations, and earnings capacity. The role coordinates ERM implementation across business units, maintains the corporate risk register, facilitates risk workshops, and ensures risk mitigation actions are effectively monitored and reported.

What You'll Do
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Enterprise Risk Management program
  • Support business units in reassessing risks and updating risk and control self-assessments
  • Develop, update, and maintain the corporate risk register and ERM documentation
  • Conduct operational risk assessments, re-insurance surveys, and special risk analysis studies
  • Monitor compliance with risk mitigation recommendations and follow up on corrective actions
  • Educate business units on risk management policies, tools, and best practices
  • Identify compliance vulnerabilities and support development of corrective action plans
  • Support design and update of internal policies to mitigate legal and regulatory risks
  • Collaborate with divisions to ensure compliance programs address regulatory exposure
  • Promote a transparent risk and compliance culture across the organization
  • Coordinate and facilitate risk workshops, training sessions, site visits, and simulations
  • Work with business units to develop and track mitigation plans
  • Track risk metrics, control gaps, and mitigation actions in the ERM database
  • Perform statistical analysis to identify emerging risk trends
  • Participate in risk reviews for major projects and capital initiatives
  • Coordinate with internal audit teams on risk testing and documentation
  • Prepare periodic risk management reports for senior management and committees
  • Escalate key risk issues to management and risk governance committees as required
  • Support special projects and ad hoc studies related to enterprise risk management
Ideal Profile
  • Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related risk management discipline
  • Associate of the Institute of Risk Management (AIRM) is an advantage
  • Minimum 8 years of risk management experience within the oil and gas industry
  • Strong understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks and methodologies
  • Experience facilitating risk workshops and engaging senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Proficient in commercial software and ERM systems
