Responsibilities
The holder is responsible for processing all Trade Finance products (Funded & Unfunded) in the Trade Middle Office and ensuring quality and timeliness of the delivery in a cost‑efficient, error‑free manner, subject to high risk management and the Bank’s and Regulator’s compliance standards.
Other duties include:
- Pre‑Processing transactions pertaining to Trade Finance products.
- Interact with customers/internal stakeholders, query resolution, support, and technical guidance.
- Adhere to SLAs, system updates, and SOP review.
- Minimise operational risks, ensure compliance of all transactions.
- Assist supervisor and section head with delivery, support, self‑assessments, statistical data and performance MIS.
- Daily and monthly proofing and reconciliation, business continuity planning and routine correspondence.
- Evolve as subject‑matter expert, support testing and training for product enhancements and service requests.
- Adhere to external and regulatory guidelines and domestic/international norms.
- Maintain high internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Live up to core values, challenge processes, share ideas and initiatives across teams.
- Pursue opportunities for enhancing operational efficiencies, customer service and operational controls via process improvements.
- Prepare statistical data for internal and external relationships.
- Escalate transactions of unusual or suspicious nature and matters requiring higher authority attention.
- Ensure safe custody of records.
- Generate cost‑reduction ideas and follow‑up their implementation.
- Support multi‑desk and multi‑function within the department.
Performance targets include:
- Zero operational loss and no near‑miss or income leakage events.
- Zero complaints, 98% TAT adherence, and more than 90% satisfaction in internal customer survey.
- No unauthorized breaches of policy/regulatory requirements or SOPs; satisfactory ratings in all audits.
- No breaches in housekeeping (reconciliations, tracers, DCFCL, etc.).
- No critical findings in regulatory, external or internal audits.
- Successfully implemented process improvement proposals.
- Execute departmental initiatives as advised.
- Support cross‑functional desks during the year.
- Minimum qualification:
High School or Diploma. - Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Trade Finance with hands‑on experience in all trade finance products.
- Understanding of ICC rules, local laws, legal risks, trade documentation, shipping terms, and the bank’s SOPs.
- Hands‑on experience on core banking solutions.
- Good communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Specialisation in own area and working knowledge of all trade products.
- Conversant with MS Office and other analytical tools.
