Job Description
Responsible for managing the Portfolio Analytics function under Portfolio and Policy Governance to enable effective and meaningful analysis that drives decision making on portfolio actions.
Utilize SAS, SQL, VBA Macros, R, Python, and E‑miner to increase efficiency and align with the bank’s strategic direction toward automation.
Key Accountabilities- Use analytics to provide insights into portfolio behaviour and various business segments to drive improvement and identify high‑risk segments and opportunities.
- Provide analysis and recommendations from insights into customer profiling, customer behaviour and credit performance, devising solutions to acquire a profitable portfolio by balancing risk and reward.
- Engage with key stakeholders to define and shape analytical reporting requirements, delivering tactical solutions and forecasts to support profitable growth.
- Automate credit analytics using advanced techniques on SAS, SQL, VBA Macros, R, Python, E‑miner and other tools.
- Manage monthly and quarterly portfolio reporting activities within the bank, including reports to business heads and credit committees.
- Conduct company‑level performance monitoring on a monthly basis and share findings with the policy team for review and action.
- Prepare portfolio reporting and annual forecasting for credit losses.
- Monitor and close tracking of key performance metrics related to RAF, provisions, impairments, etc.
- Conduct quarterly reforecasting based on year‑to‑date actuals.
- Set up independent controls to monitor key risks, test programs, triggers, and ensure timely highlighting for action.
- Complete regulatory and internal reporting requirements on time.
- Ensure data requirements from CBUAE are met within the required timelines.
- Ensure governance within the unit and close all audit items in a timely manner.
- Allocate sample cases to the Quality team based on well‑defined metrics.
- Document all processes comprehensively.
- Work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, demonstrating flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability to drive change.
- Mentor, motivate, and develop the skills of team members.
- Establish portfolio monitoring and reporting mechanisms.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Credit Analytics.
- Working knowledge of portfolio monitoring, MIS reporting and regulatory reporting.
- Proficiency with statistical and analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, ORACLE, etc.
- Broad understanding of credit risk and working knowledge of retail portfolios.
