Senior Associate – Asset Management
MRG Global is partnering with a leading hospitality owner, developer, and operator to appoint a Senior Associate – Asset Management to join its corporate asset management function.
Reporting directly to the Corporate Director of Asset Management, this role offers an excellent opportunity for an analytically driven hospitality professional to contribute to the strategic oversight and performance optimisation of a diverse portfolio of hotels and leisure assets. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting operational, financial, and commercial initiatives across both third-party managed and self-operated properties.
This position is ideally suited to an individual with strong financial analysis capabilities, a solid understanding of hotel operations, and a passion for driving asset performance within a dynamic hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities Portfolio Performance & Asset Oversight- Support the ongoing performance management of a portfolio of hospitality and leisure assets.
- Monitor hotel and portfolio-level financial performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Track asset performance metrics and proactively flag operational or financial concerns.
- Assist in identifying and implementing initiatives to enhance revenue generation and improve operational efficiencies.
- Review, benchmark, and analyse hotel financial statements and operating performance.
- Assist with the preparation and review of annual operating budgets, capital expenditure plans, and strategic business plans.
- Prepare and maintain reporting for budgets, CAPEX programmes, and FF&E reserve requirements.
- Support the preparation of Board, Executive Committee, and management reporting materials.
- Attend Business Review Meetings (BRMs), prepare detailed minutes, and ensure timely distribution to stakeholders.
- Review and maintain compliance with Hotel Management Agreements (HMAs), loan agreements, and other key contractual documentation.
- Maintain HMA reference materials and asset management tracking tools.
- Develop and maintain operator and brand benchmarking databases.
- Prepare operator evaluation materials and selection presentations.
- Support operator search processes through research, analysis, and presentation development.
- Monitor market trends, competitive positioning, and industry developments impacting the portfolio.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience within Asset Management, Investment Analysis, Hospitality Finance, Consulting, or a related field.
- Regional Middle East hospitality experience is highly desirable.
- Strong financial analysis, modelling, and valuation capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities with the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Foundational understanding of hotel operations and hospitality performance metrics is advantageous.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and collaborative team player.
