Position Overview

Responsible for daily monitoring and processing of settlement processes covering domestic, regional, and international markets for equities, mutual funds, fixed income, hedge funds, structured funds, ETFs, and local and international securities lending and borrowing. This includes local market short selling and ensuring the highest quality of client service delivery as per international standards.

Responsibilities
  • Handle extremely complex settlement transactions across local, regional, and international markets.
  • Process receipt of client market and sub‑custodian instructions.
  • Validate the correctness of all instructions.
  • Match and settle instructions in a timely manner across all markets.
  • Communicate with clients, counter‑parties, sub‑custodians, regulators, brokers, paying agents, and issuers.
  • Support due‑diligence visits linked to the settlement process.
  • Adhere to established quality control measures and procedures.
  • Provide first‑level training for new specialists and assist them with inquiries.
  • Manage client cash to facilitate smooth settlements.
  • Participate in operational modules, including securities lending and borrowing transactions.
  • Engage in section‑related projects such as system upgrades, processing enhancements, and off‑hours system testing.
  • Implement settlement processing for new clients, sub‑custodian SLAs, and new products.
  • Identify risks, create appropriate controls, and coordinate with internal departments and external entities.
  • Follow departmental policies, processes, SOPs, and instructions to work in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Support continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices.
  • Assist in preparing timely and accurate statements and reports.
Qualifications
  • University graduate with a bachelor’s degree or five years of related work experience.
  • Five years of experience in security services and/or back‑office operations (e.g., managing securities settlements, corporate actions).
  • Solid understanding of security services, operations, and accounting activities related to security services.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and achieve business objectives without compromising controls and risk parameters.
  • Team‑oriented with strong execution skills in multitasking mode and effective follow‑up.
Work Environment

Engage with various internal departments and external entities; participate in projects to re‑engineer processes for client delivery and reduce manual activities.
