Accountant, Financial Reporting
Accountant role at Sonihull in Abu Dhabi. Sonihull, a member of the Alfa Laval group, is a global leader in ultrasonic anti-fouling and agitation systems. Our award‑winning technology is used on more than 3,800 vessels worldwide and in industrial applications such as oil & gas, aquaculture and dairy.
We are looking for an experienced accountant to manage accounting and reporting for the UAE ultrasonics business, improve finance procedures and systems, and support the Business Controller.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger, ensuring all transactions are verified, allocated, posted, and reconciled in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules.
- Prepare and present accounting reports and financial results to management, supporting month‑end close and statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with local finance personnel and other stakeholders to ensure effective financial operations and compliance.
- Support process‑improvement initiatives within the finance function, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, automation, and control.
- Assist with statutory reporting, VAT and regulatory compliance for the UAE entity, maintaining documentation and supporting external audits as required.
- Utilize Xero and Salesforce to streamline workflows and maintain data integrity across accounting and order‑management processes.
- Proven experience in day‑to‑day accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger, preferably within a UAE‑based organization.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with a commitment to accuracy and quality in financial reporting.
- Technically minded and confident in using Xero, Salesforce and Excel / Google Sheets, and comfortable adopting new tools and technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements within finance operations.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Practical experience and capability valued; formal qualifications are not required.
- Minimum of 3–6 years of finance experience.
- Knowledge of Xero and Salesforce is advantageous.
