Job title: Product Manager - Payments, BaaS & Embedded Finance

I'm recruiting a senior Product Manager for a newly licensed challenger bank in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). The bank is regulated by the FSRA, serves institutional and commercial clients including fund managers, family offices, SPVs and fintechs, and is building its product architecture from scratch with no legacy infrastructure.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role reporting directly to the COO. You'll own the product vision and roadmap across payments infrastructure, a client-facing API framework, a Banking as a Service proposition and embedded finance, with AI-enabled client onboarding and stablecoin-based settlement on the forward roadmap.

The day-one priorities are embedded finance and the API/BaaS build.

• Own the product roadmap for the bank's payments infrastructure, including cross-border rails and emerging alternatives such as instant settlement networks and stablecoin corridors
• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of a client-facing API framework enabling fintechs, enterprise clients and intermediaries to integrate with the bank
• Develop the BaaS proposition across account infrastructure, payment initiation, FX and data access
• Identify and deliver embedded finance use cases across the bank's target segments
• Contribute to an AI-enabled client onboarding platform balancing low friction with FSRA and Shari'ah compliance standards
• Present product programmes and business cases to senior leadership and risk committees, and manage third-party vendor and fintech partner relationships

• 8 to 12 years in product management at a bank, payments institution, BaaS platform or fintech
• Prior experience in a regulated financial environment is essential; FSRA, FCA, MAS or DFSA familiarity is a strong advantage
• Depth in at least two of: payments rails, API/BaaS, embedded finance, digital onboarding, with genuine appetite to build capability in the rest
• Understanding of payment rails (SWIFT, SEPA, ISO 20022) and familiarity with modern core banking architectures
• Comfortable working directly with engineering teams and reading technical specifications
• Self-directed and entrepreneurial, suited to a lean, fast-moving environment

Currently based in the UK or Europe? Good. This search is deliberately targeting candidates outside the UAE and relocation is expected, not tolerated.

AED 30,000 to 40,000 /month (tax free). For candidates coming from taxed European salaries this typically represents a significant net uplift. Interviews are underway, with a first round via Teams and a second in person.
