Aboutthe Role
As a Crypto Trader with a focus on derivatives, you will be instrumental in building up our trading team in Abu Dhabi. You will be enabling Best Execution for our clients and contributing to our revenue growth. This versatile role lets you actively participate in the fast‑paced crypto markets while collaborating with a team of professionals and crypto natives.
You will have the following responsibilities- Build and maintain strong relationships with exchanges, banks, trading counter parties, and technology vendors
- Assist in setting up trading infrastructure and operational frameworks for the ADGM entity
- Assist our developers with the construction of user‑ and business‑friendly software
- Work closely with our trading and brokerage team based in Switzerland to ensure seamless coordination across markets, systems, and counter parties.
- Executing matched principal and agency orders including derivatives and spot trades in the best interest of our clients
- Provide execution advice to clients and internal stakeholders
- Monitor and manage positions across exchanges, OTC desks, and custodians
- Monitor collateral portfolios of clients and trading counter parties and execution of margin calls
- Identify new business opportunities and continuously expand our derivatives product offering
- Contribute to projects improving and developing trading products and procedures
- Align treasury activities with company’s long term financial planning and broader financial goals
- Assist relationship managers and sales force in client meetings
- Perform daily reconciliation and other trading operational activities
- Creation of various trading related reports
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, banking, mathematics or similar
- Initial experience as a trader, with a focus on derivatives (futures, options, structured products) is a must.
- Sound understanding of financial markets, crypto assets, and trading mechanisms
- Familiarity with reconciliation, custody and payments processes is a plus
- Strong interest in cryptocurrency markets and knowledge of crypto exchanges of advantage
- Dedicated to work evening shifts including weekends if required
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Reliable, proactive and team‑oriented personality
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a curiosity to identify new business opportunities
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and ability to stay calm even in hectic situations
- Fluency in English is a must; other languages are a plus
