Overview

As a Specialist, Asset Servicing, you will be a key player in our SSO team, dedicated to delivering exceptional custody services. You will manage client relationships, ensure compliance, and drive the efficiency of our custody operations.

Responsibilities
  • End-to-end corporate actions processing in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements, with a focus on accurate and timely execution to enhance the client experience.
  • Daily monitoring and processing of Corporate Actions for domestic, regional, and international markets across mandatory and voluntary events for products including equities, mutual funds, fixed income, hedge funds, structured funds, and ETFs; ensure high-quality client service delivery.
  • Handle moderately to highly complex corporate action events across Local, Regional, and International markets. Include receipt of market/sub-custodian announcements, data scrubbing/comparison, notification to clients, reconciliation of client positions with sub-custodians/markets, and posting of accruals/entitlements. For voluntary events, solicit and receive client responses and submit instructions to sub-custodians/markets before deadlines.
  • Track and respond to internal and external client queries with clear corporate actions information aligned to market rules and best practices.
  • Communicate with stakeholders (Markets, Sub Custodians, Agents, Companies, Depositories, Brokers, Issuers) to ensure smooth and timely corporate actions processing.
  • Maintain knowledge of corporate actions SWIFT messages and usages.
  • Demonstrate reliability by meeting deadlines and goals; articulate information clearly and confidently when collaborating with others.
  • Participate in section-related projects, system changes, upgrades, new client requirements, and SLA implementations with sub-custodians/clients.
  • Review processes and implement changes to enhance client satisfaction and reduce manual intervention and costs.
  • Asset Services:
    Corporate Actions, support Tax Reclaims, Proxy Services, Network Management Support, Income Management, Reconciliation.
  • Cash/FX Settlement:
    Validate transactions, escalate mismatches to AVP, ensure settlement on the settlement date, and authorize vouchers for FX/cash execution as reviewed by AVP.
  • Corporate Actions/Support Tax Reclaims/Proxy:
    Monitor sources for announcements and input information; validate and ensure proper processing of transactions in the custody system.
  • Position/Cash Management:
    Review client positions daily, reconcile with sub-custodians/markets, monitor cash positions, and escalate discrepancies or potential overdrafts to AVP.
  • SWIFTS:
    Validate swift instructions and support second-level SWIFT generation and authorization.
  • Reconciliation:
    Conduct second-level reconciliation and escalate issues to AVP.
  • Ad hoc Requests:
    Support AVP for business-as-usual matters and projects.
  • Risk Indicators:
    Monitor controls, KPIs, KRIs, capacity planning, and report incidents to AVP; ensure transactions comply with compliance/audit standards.
Minimum Qualifications

University graduate / Bachelor’s degree (or 5 years related work experience).

Minimum Experience
  • 5+ years in security services and/or back-office operations (e.g., corporate actions / securities settlements).
  • Solid understanding of security services, operations, and accounting activities related to securities services.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Team-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to achieve objectives without compromising controls and risk parameters.
  • Strong execution skills in a multi-tasking environment with effective follow-up.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail; strong teamwork.
  • Experience in Securities-related functions (e.g., Client Services, Corporate Actions, Settlement, Data Maintenance & Billing, or Custody Account Opening) is advantageous.
