Chief Risk Officer (CRO

A leading bank in Abu Dhabi, UAE is seeking an experienced Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to lead its Enterprise Risk Management function and ensure the Bank maintains a strong, compliant, and effective risk management framework in line with Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) regulations.

• Lead and continuously enhance the Bank's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework.
• Oversee Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Market & Liquidity Risk, and Enterprise Risk Management functions.
• Monitor credit portfolio quality, credit concentration, delinquency trends, and Non-Performing Loans (NPLs).
• Ensure compliance with CBUAE regulations, Basel III/IV requirements, and internal risk policies.
• Lead stress testing, ICAAP, business continuity, disaster recovery, and recovery planning activities.
• Oversee third-party and outsourcing risk assessments.
• Prepare and present comprehensive risk reports to Executive Management, the Board Risk Committee, and the Board of Directors.
• Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and enterprise-wide risk assessments.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, and other key stakeholders to strengthen the Bank's governance framework.

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Master's Degree is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, CFA, CAMS, CIA, or ERM are highly desirable.
• Minimum 15 years of banking experience
  , including at least 5 years in a senior Risk Management leadership role
  .
• Strong experience in Basel III/IV
  , Enterprise Risk Management frameworks, ICAAP, stress testing, and regulatory reporting.
• Proven experience working with the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) and regulatory authorities.
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, communication, negotiation, and Board-level presentation skills.
