Trading Assistant ​/ Portfolio Financing - Global Hedge Fund

OCR Alpha is partnered with a multi-billion-dollar global hedge fund that is seeking a Trading Assistant / Portfolio Financing professional to join its expanding Treasury function in Abu Dhabi.

Sitting within the firm’s Treasury vertical, this is a broad and hands-on role supporting fixed income treasury traders across a range of trading, financing and liquidity-management activity.

Responsibilities will include trade booking, managing rolls, FX hedging, swap compression, coupon blending and the manual booking of fixed income transactions.

The successful candidate will work closely with traders and external counter parties across London and Asia, helping to ensure the accurate execution, booking and ongoing management of transactions. The role will require a strong understanding of financial markets across fixed income, equities and cross-asset products, alongside a practical knowledge of the full trade lifecycle.

There will also be exposure to wider portfolio financing and regional treasury initiatives, including the operational requirements associated with the growing Middle Eastern IPO market. This represents an excellent opportunity for someone from a trading assistant, trading support or financing background to develop deeper treasury expertise, with the potential to progress into a revenue-generating treasury trading seat over time.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ experience within a hedge fund or investment bank. Multi-asset experience would be highly advantageous.
