Director - Investment Advisory

Objective:

Provide strategic investment advice and insights to the Department on global and local investment opportunities, trends, and market developments.

• Develop in-house view of Global Capital Markets Outlook and develop thought leadership on cross asset strategy and asset class investment trends
• Initiate ideas for new research or projects, and develop presentations for DOF Leadership and SCFEA, for example (but not limited to) matters concerning global investment & asset class trends, and investment opportunities, SWF strategy, etc.
• Execute special projects, 'first response' analysis and other urgent matters
• Manage relationships with portfolio companies, review and enhance reporting framework
• Assist in Portfolio budget review and other corporate-finance related proposals sent for approval to DOF by portfolio companies
• Manage and Deepen relationships with Investment Banks and Fund Managers
• Oversee preparation of periodic briefing reports for DOF leadership on investment matters
• Provide the necessary support to the line manager and perform any other related tasks assigned.

• Preferable to have 8 to 12 years of experience in a similar field/position.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in the field of Economics or Finance or Accounting, or its equivalent in a similar specialty appropriate to the job duties.
• MBA or CFA /CPA qualification or equivalent is preferred.
