JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of the job is to Ensuring monthly VAT data collection review consolidation preparation of FAB Group VAT returns including collecting supporting and any documentation responses as may be required Monthly transactional review and reconciliation for AOV submissions Support the tax team by working closely with supporting stakeholders of the business in identifying and implementing tax related system enhancements Ensuring tax payments have been appropriately made to the tax authority journal entries and reconciled in accordance with internal group policies and procedures Assist in collecting and observing Indirect tax data of international branches and subsidiary in order to identify potential revelations Assist the tax team coordinator in all the IT related projects reconciliations and project UAT s Assist with other tax admin matters and ad hoc requirements nbsp

• Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders across the bank
• Deals with external consultants wherever required
• Deals with Tax authority as required on a timely basis
• Job Context Specific Accountability Prepare VAT GST return filing documents as required under Group Tax Policies i e procedures manuals SOPs etc
• Support the Group Tax team in the representation on all Finance IT systems projects concerning VAT GST data requirements
• Identify VAT GST requirements in systems that need to automate and highlight to the Tax manager
• Collect and follow up Indirect tax compliance submissions from international sites
• Support Tax manager in arranging audit data to close out audit points raised and ensure minimization of new audit points
• Keep up to date with relevant Tax technical developments
• Ensure timely AOV submissions by performing transactional review and account reconciliation
• Support Tax manager in VAT GST internal projects as and when required

• Delegation of Authority for Taxation as required
• Key support for tax information for Group Finance
• Group Tax Policy adherence
• Group Governance Policy for Taxation
• Delegated authority on administration for Corporate Tax as well as Tax Transfer Pricing matters internally

• Relevant academic qualifications (Accounting/Tax preferred)
• First or Second-degree qualification
• Professional Tax qualification.

3+ years of experience in banking industry and 2+ years experience in Indirect Tax (VAT/GST) compliance.

• Experience of indirect tax processes and a good understanding of different technologies applied in a tax environment.
• Good knowledge of IT systems and use of tax accounting system.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Quick learner and self-motivated.
• Able to record issues and propose solutions.
• Ability to handle pressure and tight time frames.
