Job Description

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of dining room layout, tables, reservations, house counts, group activities, and department policies.
• Answer the telephone within 3 rings using correct etiquette.
• Record and confirm reservations/cancellations in accordance with departmental standards.
• Communicate reservation/cancellation changes to management during shift.
• Monitor preparation of own assignments, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Review reservation book, pre-assign tables, and follow up on special requests.
• Anticipate heavy business periods and organize waiting line procedures.
• Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge guests at all times.
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Be familiar with hotel services/activities to respond accurately to guest inquiries.
• Handle guest complaints following instant pacification procedures to ensure satisfaction.
• Monitor guest reactions and confer with management to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure all tables are cleared and reset according to procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and working conditions of own section equipment and supplies.
• Assist restaurant staff in their functions to ensure optimum service to guests when requested.
• Promote a cooperative working climate to maximize productivity and quality.
• Perform systematic table visits at each meal period to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Assist supervisor to ensure proper cashiering procedures are followed and accurately balanced.

• Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
• 1 year or more experience in a 5‑star hotel.
• Confidently can communicate in English and Russian. Additional language is a plus.
