Job Summary

Based at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental Abu Dhabi within the Concierge Department, the Concierge Agent is responsible for handling guest requests in a friendly and caring manner and for handling messages, mail and parcels addressed to our guests and staff following hotel procedures and our service standards to ensure guest satisfaction. The Concierge Agent reports to the Assistant Chief Concierge.

Responsibilities
  • Answer guest questions and handle guest requests in a polite and efficient manner such as giving information, making a reservation for a tour, a restaurant or transportation, providing directions, confirming flights, etc.
  • Refer requests to relevant staff to ensure customer satisfaction when needed.
  • Keep updated of all information concerning the hotel services, local places of interest, restaurants, transportation, sport facilities, churches, shopping areas and other relevant information likely to be of guest interest.
  • Maintain records and deliver and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, messages and parcels addressed to current or future guests and hotel staff according to hotel procedures.
  • On request, store guest luggage in the luggage storage room and handle all luggage with care.
  • Sell stamps for postcards and letters.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the desk area and replenish counters with brochures, magazines, and city maps for guest availability.
  • During Business Center closing time, send faxes for guests.
  • Perform any other duties which may be assigned from time to time as directed by your supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or suitable equivalent.
  • Previous experience in the same role in a luxury hotel is preferred; resort experience will be a plus.
  • Well‑groomed, professional appearance.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication.
  • Physically agile and able to stand for extended periods.
