The Assistant Laundry Manager supports the Laundry Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel laundry and linen services. The role ensures that all guest laundry, hotel linen, uniforms, and other textile items are processed efficiently and to the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation in accordance with luxury hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assistthe Laundry Managerin the overall management and daily operation of thehotel laundry department.
• Supervise and coordinatelaundry team members, ensuring efficient workflow andhigh productivity.
• Monitor the washing, drying, pressing, folding, sorting, and distribution of hotellinen, uniforms, guestlaundry, and F&B linen.
• Ensure all laundryis processed according to approved procedures, fabric-care instructions, and quality standards.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation throughout the laundry area.
• Conduct regular inspections of processedlinen and uniformsto ensuretheymeet the hotel'squality and presentation standards.
• Monitor linen and uniform inventory levelsand assist with regular stocktaking.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Rooms Division, Food& Beverage, and otherdepartmentsregarding linen and uniform requirements.
• Ensure guest laundryand special laundryrequests are handledaccurately, promptly, andwith appropriate care.
• Monitor the condition and performance oflaundry equipment andreport technical issuespromptly.
• Assist withpreventive maintenance schedules and coordinate with Engineering when required.
• Control the properuse of laundrychemicals, detergents, and other supplies while minimizing wasteand operational costs.
• Ensure proper handling of damaged, stained, or lost linenand uniforms.
• Assist in preparingdutyrosters, allocating daily tasks, and monitoringattendance and performance.
• Train, coach, and develop laundry employee son operating procedures, safety,hygiene, and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance withhotel policies, healthand safety regulations, fire safety procedures, and environmental standards.
• Monitordepartmental expenses and support cost-control initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare operational reports as required.
• Assist the Laundry Manager with audits, inspections, quality checks, and departmental projects.
• Step in andtakeresponsibility for the department in the absence of the Laundry Manager.

• Minimum3-5 yearsof laundry experience
  , preferably within a5-star hotelor luxury hospitality environment.
• Previous supervisory orteam-leadership experience in a hotellaundry operation.
• Strong knowledge of commercial laundry operations, linen handling, fabriccare, and laundrychemicals.
• Good understanding ofhygiene, health & safety, and quality-control procedures.
• Experience with industriallaundry equipment andbasic troubleshooting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to workunderpressure in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Good leadership, coaching, and team-management skills.
• Professional appearance and astrong commitment toguest service andluxury standards.
