Job Description & How to Apply Below
Role Overview
Payroll is not a back‑office function at Wio — it is a trust signal. Every employee's financial wellbeing runs through this role. You will own end‑to‑end payroll accuracy, compliance, and employee experience — and you will make it invisible in the best possible way.
What You’ll Be Responsible For- Own the Full Payroll Cycle
- Process end-to-end monthly payroll accurately and on time — salary payments, allowances, deductions, overtime, and all payroll transactions across applicable legal entities.
- Validate and action all payroll inputs: new joiners, leavers, salary revisions, promotions, unpaid leave, attendance adjustments, and benefit changes before each payroll run.
- Manage final settlement calculations in full — gratuity, leave encashment, notice pay, recoveries, and statutory deductions — ensuring accuracy every time.
- Keep the Numbers Airtight
- Prepare, reconcile, and submit payroll registers, bank transfer files, and GL reports to Finance within agreed timelines.
- Conduct regular payroll reconciliations and audits to uphold data integrity and compliance with internal controls.
- Maintain accurate employee master data, payroll records, and employment lifecycle changes in the HRMS with strict confidentiality standards.
- Stay Compliant, Stay Ahead
- Administer employee benefits and deductions — medical insurance, pension contributions, loans, and advances — with accurate payroll integration.
- Ensure full compliance with UAE Labour Law, pension regulations, and internal policies; proactively flag risks and discrepancies before they become issues.
- Prepare payroll, headcount, compensation, and workforce reports to support Finance, management, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Be the Go-To for Payroll
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee payroll and benefits queries — resolving issues professionally and within defined SLAs.
- Support HR Operations across onboarding, contract administration, employee documentation, and HRMS maintenance.
- Contribute to payroll process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives, including UAT testing as required.
- Minimum 1 year in your current role.
- UAE HR regulatory and payroll experience.
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive data with tact and confidentiality.
- Strong communicator — equally comfortable with employees and leadership.
- Bachelor's in Finance or HR.
- Proficiency with any HRMS or reconciliation system.
- Prior exposure to end-to-end payroll in a fintech or banking environment.
- Familiarity with payroll automation or system improvement projects.
