Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Our client provides energy and EPC services across MENA and beyond. They are enjoying ongoing international expansion with a full project pipeline across the region.
To support this expansion they are seeking to appoint a new Compliance Officer based at their Abu Dhabi HQ.
Reporting to the SLT the role will enjoy an autonomous remit focussed on maintaining the highest standards of ethics and compliance, by promoting a culture of integrity and adherence to company policies (Anti-corruption Code of Conduct, Gift and Hospitality policy, Business Agent policy, Competition law policy etc).
The role:- Building, maintaining and continuously improving the compliance culture through prevention, detection and response.
- Manage risk assessment process, summarise findings and develop relevant prevention and mitigation action plans.
- Ensure company policies and processes are implemented and amended according to local needs and regulations, proactively monitored, reviewed and assessed.
- Ensure all open issues across the region, including all alerts (internal/external) are promptly investigated and appropriate actions taken.
- Further develop compliance program awareness through training and communication.
- Support the monitoring of the compliance program, with supervision of recommendations made by internal control and internal audit teams.
- Serve as the “go to” person for employees in case of any compliance questions or doubts.
- Experience with in a large multinational corporation in areas such as Legal, Compliance, Audit, Quality or Risk Management.
- Experience in dealing with compliance issues, such as anti-corruption regulations, fraud, ethics & HR matters.
- Relevant education or external accreditation in the areas of compliance, audit, quality or risk management.
- Skills:
high level of integrity & tenacity; high-energy, positive, flexible & team spirit. - Excellent communication skills in multi-cultural environment.
- Languages:
fluent in English. - Ability to travel when required.
