Responsibilities
- Drive market share and revenue performance through proper pricing and business mix management, develop overall pricing strategy across all market segments and distribution channels, provide guidance on corporate transient and group pricing, and ensure Group Selective Sell Guidelines (Group rates and sales allowance) are updated regularly to maintain effective pricing strategies aligned with market positioning and competitive strength.
- Produce accurate forecasts on a weekly and monthly basis, including daily by segment, distribute forecasts promptly, incorporate 30/60/90 day forecasts with YTD performance updates, and ensure high accuracy in revenue forecasting as per Revenue Management standards.
- Effectively manage inventory and pricing strategy across all distribution channels, including Brand website, focusing on lowering distribution costs and driving room nights through branded web.
- Collaborate with ADRM to conduct regular price elasticity tests under varying market conditions, measure results, share key learnings, validate competition set RevPAR forecast by month, and develop/update strategic sales plans with the Area/Director of Sales.
- Review and analyze STR data weekly and monthly with Hotel, monitor competitive pricing, and assess the impact of relative pricing decisions on property performance.
- Chair weekly revenue management meetings, communicate strategic vision and objectives to the team, and provide regular updates on hotel performance covering market share, market segment, and channel metrics.
- Ensure implementation and compliance with Company Revenue Management Standards, and master current and new RM tools (PMS, CRS, third party extranets, channel manager, rate shopper, Smith Travel reports, Hotelligence Reports, channel reports, pace reports).
- Contribute to revenue management strategic vision during all area and corporate property reviews and pricing meetings.
- Recruit, train, and mentor reservations team and other employees as applicable.
- Plan and build the entire revenue management system process for new opening hotels.
- Prepare outline for and support the annual revenue budget process.
- Provide strategic direction in support of critical revenue cycle initiatives and goals.
- Conduct weekly revenue meetings and monthly owner meetings for both hotels.
