Facilities Management Director
Job Summary
The Facilities Management Director is responsible for leading the delivery of integrated facilities management services within a large-scale, complex operational environment. The role oversees hard and soft FM services, asset management, contract management, and project delivery through contracted service providers.
This position ensures high standards of operational performance, regulatory compliance, asset availability, and service excellence while maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Strategy
Lead facilities management teams and contracted service providers.
Develop operational strategies, budgets, and performance targets.
Promote compliance with company policies, HS&E standards, and operational requirements.
Drive performance management, team development, and service excellence.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Hard Services
Oversee technical maintenance including MEP, HVAC, and critical infrastructure systems.
Implement best-practice maintenance strategies and service standards.
Manage system shutdowns, outages, and risk mitigation in a high-availability environment.
Oversee defect liability period (DLP) and warranty management.
Manage soft FM services including cleaning and operational support services.
Ensure contractors comply with safety, quality, and service level standards.
Monitor performance and implement continuous service improvements.
Lead asset management initiatives aligned with ISO 55000 standards.
Manage FM contracts and supplier performance.
Ensure optimal asset performance, lifecycle management, and value delivery.
Oversee helpdesk and service management systems for facilities operations.
Ensure efficient handling of service requests and operational coordination.
Monitor KPIs, asset availability, and service performance.
Provide performance reports and operational updates to stakeholders.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Property Management, Operations Management, Asset Management, or Business Management.
ExperienceMinimum 10 years of facilities management experience within large, complex, and high-demand environments.
Experience managing large-scale FM operations and contractor service delivery.
Experience in complex, regulated, and operationally critical environments.
