Job Purpose

Provides consulting services on Enterprise Risk Management across the company and promotes overall awareness for ERM through the application of ERM policy, framework, and techniques to activities at the Corporate, Divisional and Project level. Consults, facilitates, and assists with ad‑hoc risk analysis projects and other strategic activities as required by Senior Management.

Key Accountabilities
  • Accountable for monitoring and supporting the implementation of the ERM policy and framework, ensuring its wide application within ADNOC‑Offshore’s complex organisational structure.
  • Supports the ERM Team Leader on continuous improvement of ERM techniques in line with international standards (e.g., ISO 31000:2018).
  • Acts as system administrator for software supporting the ERM process (risk identification, analysis, treatment and reporting) across ADNOC‑Offshore, ensuring data integrity.
  • Promotes ERM awareness across the organisation and adopts change strategies to embed ERM principles into day‑to‑day business activities.
  • Identifies opportunities for further improvement during periodic quality reviews of the ERM process and framework.
  • Understands the company’s strategic objectives to assist in risk identification more efficiently.
  • Schedules, prepares and delivers risk‑management workshops to ensure divisional risks are identified, ranked and escalated per the ERM Escalation Criteria.
  • Supports the ERM team’s periodic reporting to Senior Management and required shareholder committees (e.g., Board, TCM, and Shareholder Audit Committee).
  • Liaises with the Business Plan team within Corporate Planning Division to support the progressive integration of ERM into business planning and performance management processes.
  • Initiates and supports training, development and performance assessments of UAE nationals and junior ERM analysts.
  • Advises and acts as focal point for external consultants engaged to support the delivery of the ERM strategy and objectives.
  • Supports ERM Coordinators in each division with planned risk reviews.
  • Coordinates with Internal Audit Division to support their risk‑based audit programme.
  • Supports other strategic corporate and business‑unit initiatives in the capacity of SME.
  • Supervision:
    Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop staff on relevant skills to enable proficiency and achievement of section objectives.
  • Budgets:
    Provide input for budget preparation and assist implementation of approved budgets and work plans.
  • Investigate and highlight significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
  • Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures:
    Implement approved policies, processes and systems to support work programmes in line with company and international standards.
  • Performance Management:
    Contribute to achieving approved performance objectives for the section in line with the company framework.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
    Design and implement tools and techniques to improve quality and efficiency of operational processes; identify improvements against best practices to define intelligent solutions.
  • Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability:
    Comply with relevant policies, procedures, controls, legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards.
  • Reports:
    Provide inputs for preparing section MIS and progress reports for company management.
Communications & Working Relationships

Internal:
Frequent interaction with Senior Management, Divisional Management and Team Leaders to discuss and advise on ERM matters, including delivery of risk workshops. Regular interaction with various divisions to ensure ERM is incorporated into business processes. Acts as professional advisor on enterprise risk and opportunities to multiple stakeholders. Direct supervision from line team leader and manager.

Qualifications Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
  • 8‑9 years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in auditing and/or risk management disciplines; prior exposure to the oil and gas industry preferred.
  • Strategic thinking and understanding of enterprise‑wide significance.
  • High understanding of business processes and experience in process improvement.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills for clear communication with Senior Management.
  • Highly developed people skills to motivate and coach others to change; willingness to question the status‑quo of current practices.
  • Proficiency in English.
Professional Certifications
  • Internationally recognised professional qualification (preferably in ERM) is advantageous.
