Senior Officer, Facilitiy Maintenance

JOB PURPOSE
Supervise and control the administration and execution of all contracted services related to housing, utilities and landscaping maintenance, and general cleaning and pest control activities and manage the schedule for carrying out maintenance facilities including industrial building and facilities, clubs and recreational areas.
KEYACCOUNTABILITIES
- Supervise facilities services at site offices and employee living quarters ensuring sound implementation of approved plans by contractors and service providers.
- Plan the procurement of equipment/furniture and facilities. Coordinate with procurement function regarding company requirements of such items as appropriate.
- Supervise and control the sports centers and amenity facilities, housing and utilities maintenance services.
- Review and approve daily maintenance services task orders, minor work orders and local purchases in line with Facilities Management & Maintenance Department policies and guidelines.
- Ensure the mobilization of required systems, team members, instruments and equipment necessary for facilities maintenance work.
- Supervise the civil and electromechanical facilities development/upgrade projects aiming to implement enhancements to utilities and/or introduce new technologies.
- Manage the accommodation and utilities maintenance service contractors and ensure that assigned duties are implemented in a timely manner and within the allocated budget in accordance with project management principles and compliance with HSE requirements/guidelines.
- Administer service contracts and ensure cost‑effective implementation and adherence to the contract terms and conditions. Evaluate contractors’ performance and direct contract amendments and renewals as required. Resolve disputes with contractors and service personnel.
- Approve the number of contractor personnel engaged daily after scrutinizing daily population figures. Maintain necessary records in accordance with procedures and authorize the monthly payment reports.
- Ensure that all periodic pest control is carried out in all areas of operations as required.
- Minimum qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. - Minimum experience and knowledge & skills: 8 years’ experience in high‑rise building maintenance.
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
- Must be computer literate.
