Project Director – Asset Management & Facilities Management
Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced and decisive Project Director to lead our asset management and facilities management initiatives in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex capital projects while optimizing our asset portfolio and facilities operations.
Key Responsibilities- Direct the planning, execution, and delivery of large‑scale capital projects within budget, schedule, and quality parameters
- Develop and implement comprehensive asset management strategies aligned with organizational objectives and industry best practices
- Oversee facilities operations, maintenance planning, and optimization to ensure maximum asset utilization and cost efficiency
- Manage project budgets, financial forecasting, and resource allocation with meticulous attention to detail
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate cross‑functional teams including project managers, engineers, contractors, and facilities staff
- Analyze asset performance data and generate actionable insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Establish and maintain vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project progress and facilities management effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies across all project and operational activities
- Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders through comprehensive reporting
- Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive analysis and strategic planning
- Customize asset management solutions to address organization‑specific requirements and operational challenges
- 15+ years of progressive experience in asset management, facilities management, or related fields
- 5+ years of demonstrated project management or project leadership experience
- Proven track record managing large‑scale capital projects
- Strong expertise in asset lifecycle management and facilities operations optimization
- Advanced proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate diverse, multi‑disciplinary teams
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control
- Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance planning, execution, and optimization strategies
- Proficiency in risk management and mitigation strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Experience working in the UAE or GCC region
