Project Manager, Continuous Improvement
Job Description
The Project Manager, Continuous Improvement role is a key position within the team responsible for the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives across Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. The Project Manager, Continuous Improvement will lead Continuous Improvement initiatives through the execution of the 4 fundamental support pillars (Projects, Awareness Intiatives, Training and Coaching). This role is pivotal in helping to foster a culture of sustainable improvement by embedding a continuous improvement methodology, and the supporting framework, to deliver transformational and change.
ResponsibilitiesContinuous Improvement Projects
- Lead Continuous Improvement (CI) Projects at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD by employing the CCAD Improvement Model to improve the outcomes of clinical and operational processes, improve efficiencies, reduce cost and increase patient satisfaction
- Monitor CI Projects via internal governance controls in order to ensure the impact, objectives, dependencies and risks are identified, reported on and managed at all times
- Demonstrate the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple CI projects
- Develop process maps, by conducting process evaluations, for highly complex process by breaking them down into processes, sub-processes, business functions, business units and tasks.
- Effectively utilize statistical tools to support problem solving in a variety of areas, including but not limited to: process measures and financial metrics, scheduling, resource utilization, labor and productivity, quality measures, patient satisfaction measures and wait times
- Develops and tracks metrics improvement through reports and dashboards to communicate financial and operational objectives to key stakeholders and leadership.
- Create presentations that distill and communicate analytical and observational findings and recommendations to CI project stakeholders
- Effectively collaborate with all levels of Caregivers, from leadership to front line personnel
- Complete post CI project analysis to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and to ensure that improvements can be made for future CI projects
- Lead CI workshops to introduce CI concepts to Caregivers and raise awareness of CI at CCAD
- Utilize the CI workshops as an opportunity to collaborate with leadership in order to identify opportunities and potential improvement initiatives
- Complete post CI workshop analysis to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and to ensure that improvements can be made for future CI workshops
- Develop and deliver training that educates Caregivers about CI concepts that lead to the identification, development, and implementation of improvements in their relevant departments.
- Develop training materials and effectively deliver training to ensure Caregivers at CCAD are trained in CI concepts and methodology
- Evaluate the performance and ability of Caregivers to understand and apply CI tools and principles.
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to Caregivers, who complete the CI training, to drive improvements and transformation in their respective departments
Bachelor's degree is required. Preferably in a quantitative science discipline.
ExperienceMinimum of four (4) years continuous improvement experience, leading projects, required. Continuous Improvement experience in a healthcare operations environment is preferred.
