Position Overview
Schneider Electric is looking for a Site Manager to oversee the construction of one or more sites. The role involves establishing and monitoring the organization of the sites in collaboration with Site Supervisors, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and technical regulations and maintaining smooth progress in alignment with cost, deadlines and resources. The Site Manager will report to the Head of Regional Site Teams and the Operations Manager of the GCP Ops Site Works department.
Responsibilities- Maintain site records and provide closure feedback.
- Draft, monitor and supervise site schedules in collaboration with the Site Works Coordinator.
- Manage budget: validate objectives with the Project Manager, track expenditure, report discrepancies, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Keep the NCR monitoring and opportunity/claim folder updated.
- Identify, mitigate and resolve site risks.
- Prepare the project before site work starts in coordination with relevant departments and the Project Manager.
- Lead design review, contract kick‑off meetings, and site staff mobilisation.
- Draft the budget quote for the internal contract and define assembly methodologies with the Site Works Coordinator.
- Set up the organizational structure and offices on site.
- Comply with site organizational requirements, contractual terms, Assignment Order, Quality Plan, HSE Plan and operating procedures.
- Receive and store equipment and devices; ensure that site organisation, work execution procedures, and commissioning comply with legislation and local regulations.
- Work with the HSE manager to address HSE issues.
- Provide technical support to the Site Works Coordinator as needed.
- Implement a site quality plan and control the quality of supplied products and components.
- Maintain and calibrate monitoring, testing and commissioning equipment; coordinate delivery of AS‑BUILT drawings.
- Ensure subcontractors and operators update drawings and that completed RED MARKS documents are sent to the Design Office.
- Coordinate interface with the Project Manager and produce monthly status reports, progress reports, minutes of meetings, damage statements, equipment condition records and non‑conformance records.
- At project completion, prepare all end‑of‑project documentation for assessment and feedback to the contract responsible body.
- Minimum 10 years experience as a Site Supervisor or Commissioning Supervisor.
- Baccalaureate degree with at least 2 additional years of study in Electrical Engineering.
- Fluent English (C1); additional languages are a plus.
- Flexibility, reliability, strong technical focus and customer orientation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good proficiency in MS Office (including MS Project), Acrobat, AutoCAD, Outlook, and testing device software (Omicron).
- Advanced knowledge of medium and low voltage equipment, power stations, and commissioning test principles.
- Experience with Schneider equipment: MV (Premset, MCSET, PIX), protection relays (SEPAM, Micom, Easergy), UPS APC Symmetra, and LV distribution panels (Blokset, Okken, Prisma) is an advantage.
