Operations Manager
We're partnering with a leading oilfield services organization operating across the Middle East to find their next Service Manager, based in the UAE.
This is a pivotal operational leadership role, holding full accountability for the performance, productivity, and profitability of the well testing operation. The successful candidate will act as the critical link between engineering, operations, and the client, driving service delivery, commercial performance, and safety culture across a demanding onshore and offshore portfolio. This is not a purely technical role — it demands a commercially minded operator capable of managing client relationships, leading tenders, and building a high-performing team.
Duties & Responsibilities- Acting as the primary point of contact for the client on all contractual matters, and coordinating jobs between engineering, operations, and the customer
- Coordinating, managing, and monitoring the performance of various departments, formulating policies and procedures to maximize output
- Managing equipment maintenance, spare parts, and technical support to ensure smooth onshore and offshore operations
- Approving procurement and equipment purchasing requirements, and keeping engineering capability aligned with evolving technology
- Establishing regular customer contact, growing the client base, and identifying opportunities in the wider oil and gas field service market
- Preparing and following through on tenders from submission to conclusion
- Monitoring the company's financial performance and contributing to its overall commercial health
- Creating and promoting a strong QHSE culture, embedding QHSE principles into decision-making, and ensuring effective risk identification and management
- Ensuring full compliance with company policies, procedures, and all applicable Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements
- Minimum 10 years' experience, including at least 5 years in a management role
- Engineering degree in a relevant field (Drilling, Geology, Mechanical, or Electrical), or equivalent experience
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Strong numerical and financial acumen
- Proven people management and leadership skills, with strong commercial and customer-centric instincts
