The Head – Asset Management is responsible for leading Sanad Capital’s engine asset portfolio to maximize commercial value and operational efficiency across the asset lifecycle. The role oversees engine valuation, acquisition, teardown, and parts trading activities, ensuring alignment with Sanad Capital’s financial, technical, and strategic objectives. The position drives commercial excellence, builds strategic partnerships, ensures policy compliance, and contributes to long‑term business growth and performance.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities1. Contribute to Sanad Capital’s Strategy
- Define and implement engine valuation and acquisition strategies aligned with Sanad Capital’s business plan and financial targets.
- Develop and manage commercial strategies for engine purchases, teardowns, and parts trading.
- Build and sustain strategic partnerships and alliances that enhance portfolio performance and mitigate financial, legal, and compliance risks.
- Collaborate with other Sanad departments to support portfolio growth and asset utilization.
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures governing asset acquisition, teardown, and parts sales.
- Ensure compliance with Sanad Capital’s governance framework and quality standards.
- Continuously improve operational processes and controls to meet business objectives and international benchmarks.
- Provide direction, coaching, and mentorship to team members and promote cross‑functional collaboration.
- Drive a culture of accountability, performance excellence, and innovation.
- Identify competency gaps and support Emiratization by developing UAE national talent.
- Lead teardown, repair management, and piece‑part sales initiatives to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Oversee market analysis, customer relationship management, and commercial negotiations.
- Manage deal‑closing activities and ensure alignment with Sanad’s financial and operational objectives.
- Oversee all stages of the asset management project life cycle — discovery, development, delivery, and maturity.
- Ensure project execution meets cost, quality, and timeline expectations.
- Monitor and report project performance against defined KPIs.
- Lead change management initiatives that enhance efficiency, adaptability, and competitiveness.
- Benchmark operations against international best practices and integrate process improvements.
- Promote a learning culture through knowledge sharing, training, and continuous feedback.
- Carry out additional assignments and tasks as required by Senior Management in line with business priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field is required. Master’s Degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
- Additional training in management or leadership courses is preferred.
- 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in commercial aviation engine and/or component asset repair, sales, or technical MRO management.
- 5 to 8 years of management or supervisory experience leading cross‑functional or technical teams.
- Proven experience in engine valuation, asset acquisition, teardown management, and parts trading.
- Strong understanding of aviation industry regulations, OEM maintenance methodologies, and MRO operations.
- Demonstrated background in financial modelling, deal execution, and P&L accountability.

Develops and implements strategic and operational plans for the business unit, aligning KPIs, resourcing needs, and milestones with Sanad Capital’s long‑term objectives. Continuously reviews performance data and market trends to update plans, drive portfolio growth, and ensure executive oversight alignment with Mubadala standards.
