Responsibilities
Manage all activities across maritime large‑scale projects to enable successful delivery of project goals in a timely manner. Provide guidance to define project scope of work, lead deliverables, plan schedule, monitor resources, personnel, equipment and materials, and oversee budget to meet maritime client requirements. Control maritime large‑scale project risks, provide advice to resolve issues and update mitigation plans to ensure project success.
Responsible to ensure maritime project compliance with group governance, external stakeholder and cluster requirements. Support in managing interfaces and dependencies across maritime project clusters and external parties. Promote HSE culture and activities in the construction activities across maritime large‑scale projects. Monitor progress and performance of large‑scale projects, review metrics, analyze bottlenecks, and recommend action plans. Prepare reports to management for all maritime medium‑scale project delivery regarding current activities and data analysis.
Liaise with project owners and review assigned specifications, standards and procedures to meet project requirements and achieve objectives. Direct maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all large‑scale projects. Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative culture between project teams, supply chain and other stakeholders for the betterment of the AD Ports group. Develop and maintain relationships with other projects, suppliers, consultants and contractors.
Support development and continuous improvement of departmental working practices, identify and support improvement initiatives and forecasting study.
- Educational and Technical
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (engineering, construction management, project management, etc.) - Language
Skills:
Excellent English;
Arabic is an added advantage. - Years of
Experience:
Minimum of 12‑15 years in a similar role. - Nature of
Experience:
Proven experience in delivering construction projects in maritime environment, as a senior project manager or in a programme management position, working in a multi‑disciplinary engineering environment. - Preferably having worked in both construction and consultancy organisations.
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability, strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in project management including ability to plan, execute and oversee projects from concept to implementation.
- Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills to identify and address complex challenges and opportunities and make data‑driven decisions.
