Associate Director – Claims and Contracts

AtkinsRéalis are currently looking for an experienced Associate Director – Claims and Contracts to join our team to work on newly awarded projects across varying sectors and locations within UAE. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing team on high profile projects across the UAE.

• In-depth knowledge and experience in contract and claims commercial management of projects at both tender/procurement and post-contract stages.
• Middle East construction market experience in last 4-5 years preferable, with delivery experience in Saudi Arabia an added benefit.
• Good common law, contract, commercial and fiduciary understanding.
• Prepare contracts, task orders, contract letters, notices and communications in excellent written English.
• Negotiate contracts with clients, contractors and sub-contractors.
• Use large company project financial control systems and understand large company internal governance procedures.
• Pay attention to detail, review invoices and contracts prior to issue, and provide accurate cost reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management from a recognized university.
• Chartered QS (MRICS or MCIOB).
• Previous experience of FIDIC contracts.
• Strong contractual, commercial and financial knowledge.
• Minimum 15 years pre and/or post-contract relevant capacity in contracts and commercial management.
• Consultant and/or client background for minimum of 10 years.
• Minimum of 4 years Middle East experience preferred.
• Project management acumen.
• Good communication skills and ease with client presentations/reports.
