The Senior Projects Manager shall be responsible for the execution of a portfolio of projects under their assignment. Responsibilities consist of supervising and completing all activities associated with project management as well as providing support to other Business Units along with liaising with many external vendors in relation to consultancy and construction activities.
Key Responsibilities- Ensuring each project has an effective lead PM, aligned with strategic goals/KPIs.
- Closing out tender awards and commercial management Establishment of clear milestones, risk identification/management and project planning
- Ensuring Value Engineering is established, agreed and implemented.
- Co-ordinating handover to FM and CRM teams.
- Co-ordination with Clients and stakeholders to compile requirements and identify scope.
- Review and approval of all consultants and suppliers’ invoices.
- Review claims and manage variations by providing accurate advice to CEO.
- Construction monitoring, project control and formal reporting using control metrics for measuring time, quality, safety and cost management.
- Monitor the consultant performance to ensure fulfilment of their duties, in respect of but not limited to: attending site inspections, quality control, safety auditing and monitor the progress of the Project against the Project master schedule, etc.
- Coordination between the Project Parties at site to ensure smooth flow of operations.
- Monitor contractors’ performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligation.
- Set up communication protocol and manage the same between the Employer and the consultants/contractors (Project parties).
- Reporting regularly to the Director for all Areas of Concern and propose solutions.
- In-charge of Handling over Activities with authorities (infrastructure & buildings).
- Following up the design/tendering stage and assisting with design review, respond to Consultants’/Contractors’ RFIs and liaise with authorities.
- Coordination and follow-up with the Authorities to obtain all NOCs, Certificates, Permits, etc. necessary for the initiation and completion of the Project.
- Facilitate and chair weekly/monthly progress meetings, design/shop drawing meetings Operational meetings between all Project Parties.
Responding to Contractor, Consultant & PMC correspondences whenever required.
Education and CertificationsBachelor’s in Science or Master’s degree from a reputable university in Project/Construction management and PMP are Required
LanguagesFluency in English is required.
Fluency in Arabic is required.
ExperienceA minimum of 12 to 15 years of relevant experience in GCC.
A minimum of 5 years in a managerial role
