Area Head

Responsibilities

• Manage a network of 7–10 branches within the defined area, directing and guiding the branches in the assigned region to achieve sales and satisfaction targets.
• Maximise profitability and widen the NBAD footprint across the area.
• Enhance the sales and marketing of all retail banking products by capitalising on direct and cross‑sell opportunities and ensuring efficient customer services.
• Work closely with the Regional Head to implement the distribution network strategy and the sales and services strategy.
• Agree on overall budget and KPI targets, as well as budget and targets per customer segment for the area cluster with the Regional Head, and delegate budget and targets to the Branch Cluster Managers in the area.
• Deliver the agreed budget and KPI targets in that area by managing, supporting, and monitoring branches, Branch Cluster Managers, and sales and service teams’ performance.
• Implement departmental policies, systems, and procedures so that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a standardised, cost‑effective service with a high‑standard customer experience across all branches in the area.
• Explore and gather details to create new business opportunities within the area in coordination with other Business Lines.
• Gather details to open, relocate, or remove a branch or ATM CDM in the area and provide business justification.
• Represent the bank in the local community within the assigned area and handle customer complaints in coordination with the Head of Customer Experience.
• Define goals and key performance indicators for each team member and ensure effective implementation of the NBAD performance‑management process.
• Develop talent within the team by providing guidance and coaching to achieve the defined goals with a clear focus on Emiratisation.

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline with experience in the branch network.
• 10 years of relevant experience in the banking sector.
• At least 5 years in similar positions with progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in the branch network.
