Job Description & How to Apply Below

Nabat is a climate-tech startup based in the UAE using advanced technology to protect and restore natural ecosystems with precision and scale! We operate at the intersection of ecological & environmental sciences, GIS, AI, and robotics. Our mission is to enable data-driven, science-backed ecosystem management and restoration at the speed and scale necessary to address the critical challenges of climate change, deforestation, land erosion, and biodiversity loss.

Our comprehensive solution - consisting of ecosystem management software, precision aerial seeding drones, AI & ecological models, and restoration services - is already being used to plant millions of mangroves in the UAE. But we’re just getting started, as we build our platform to serve the needs of coastal, marine and arid ecosystems around the world.

If this mission resonates with you, let’s talk!

Relocation to the UAE is required – generous relocation benefits and visa sponsorship (for the employee and their family) will be provided.

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager who will serve as the execution engine across Nabat's engineering and product organization. You will sit at the intersection of strategy and delivery, translating ambitious product roadmaps into coordinated, time-bound programs, while ensuring that the teams building them stay unblocked, aligned, and moving at pace.

This is not a coordination-only role. You will develop genuine technical depth in our stack, contribute to architectural discussions, and earn trust with engineers by understanding what they are actually building.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Own the planning, execution, and on-time delivery of cross-functional programs from concept through launch.
  • Build and maintain detailed project schedules, dependency maps, risk logs, and status reports that give leadership a clear, honest picture of progress at all times.
  • Run structured retrospectives and translate learnings into improved delivery rhythms.
Bridge product vision and technical execution
  • Partner with Product Managers early to translate product requirements into executable technical specifications with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure technical decisions are grounded in user value — push back constructively when implementation choices threaten product quality or user experience.
  • Maintain a roadmap view that connects quarterly business objectives to sprint-level milestones and team capacity.
Develop and apply technical depth
  • Build a working understanding of Nabat's full technical stack — cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, AI/ML services, and any device or edge components.
  • Contribute meaningfully to architectural and design reviews, flagging scalability, reliability, and dependency risks before they become blockers.
  • Facilitate technical problem-solving sessions among domain experts; synthesize outcomes into clear decisions and action items.
Manage stakeholders and drive alignment
  • Communicate progress, risks, and blockers to leadership concisely and on a predictable cadence - no surprises.
  • Facilitate alignment between product goals and business objectives across teams and leadership levels.
  • Navigate trade-offs with empathy and data, influencing without authority while preserving team trust.
Champion process and operating excellence
  • Implement Agile/Scrum delivery standards with a light touch - optimize for velocity, not ceremony.
  • Maintain clean project artifacts in Jira, Confluence, or equivalent tools so information is always findable and current.
  • Identify and remove blockers proactively; elevate only what genuinely requires leadership input.
  • Leverage AI productivity tools (Claude, Copilot, and similar) to accelerate planning, documentation, and analysis.
What are we looking for?
  • 4–8 years of experience managing technical programs or projects in a software-first engineering organization.
  • Proven track record of leading complex, multi-team programs from planning through launch with measurable outcomes.
  • Fluency in software delivery concepts: you can discuss APIs, cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and system dependencies with engineers without needing translation.
  • Strong command of Agile methodologies including…
