Lead - Account Management
The Key Account Lead – Commercial & Sales within the Aviation & Aero Engine MRO division is responsible for managing and coordinating Engine Shop Visits with internal and external customers. Reporting to the Senior Manager or Manager – Commercial & Sales, this role focuses on building strong customer relationships, overseeing visit requirements, and ensuring alignment with Sanad Aerotech’s financial long-term targets.
The Key Account Lead manages a complex portfolio of strategic, high-value accounts and may provide mentoring and coaching to junior accounts managers to enhance their capabilities in managing customer accounts effectively.
- Manage key customer accounts, dedicating approximately 25% of time to account management activities.
- Identify up-selling opportunities, analyze performance metrics, and implement strategies to optimize performance and drive profitability.
- Proactively resolve issues and challenges to maintain positive and productive customer relationships, including managing outstanding items per Sanad procedures.
- Demonstrate excellent coordination and communication skills to ensure seamless planning and execution of engine shop visits.
- Engage actively with stakeholders to gather feedback, manage projects, and address concerns.
- Schedule and manage meetings to maintain close, productive customer relationships.
- Collaborate closely with the finance team to support financially sound decisions contributing to the success of shop visit operations.
- Accountable for the financial and commercial viability of shop visits managed by other key account managers when applicable.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Alternatively, vocational or technical training certificate or diploma in account management with at least 5 years of relevant experience is acceptable.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing complex aviation MRO agreements with demonstrated success.
- At least 5 years in customer-facing roles.
- Around 3 years of project management experience.
- Minimum 1 year of management or supervisory experience.
- Experience with V2500, Trent
700, LEAP, and GenX engines is advantageous.
- Customer Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure high satisfaction and loyalty.
- Communication and Presentation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders, including senior management.
- Emotional Intelligence: High emotional intelligence to effectively manage emotions and empathize with others, particularly in challenging situations.
- Intercultural Intelligence: Ability to adapt and interact effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Engine MRO Engineering Know-how: Intermediate understanding of engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul processes, especially relating to V2500, Trent
700, LEAP, and GenX engines. - Finance for Non-finance Roles: Basic financial knowledge to analyze data and contribute to financial decision‑making related to aviation MRO shop visits, including labor and material cost analysis.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think proactively and identify opportunities for growth and improvement in account management.
- Problem Solving: Skilled at analyzing complex issues and developing innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Proactivity and Results‑Driven Attitude: Demonstrates initiative and maintains focus on achieving results.
- Coaching or Mentoring: Capable of training and guiding junior Key Account Managers by sharing best practices and practical insights.
Preferred educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field. Candidates with vocational or technical training certificates or diplomas in account management coupled with significant relevant experience will also be considered.
