The Role

We are actively seeking an experienced and accomplished Account Manager to join our vibrant Social Media team, with a dedicated focus on our pivotal government sector clients. This is a critical role for a professional with a proven track record in social media strategy, and a passion for driving impactful outcomes with Government sector clients. You will be a primary partner and lead for our most significant government accounts, shaping, developing, and executing comprehensive social media strategies that align with client objectives.

This role encompasses leadership of a small, dedicated team, end‑to‑end management of social media projects, and active participation in securing new government business through RFPs and pitches.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the day‑to‑day point of contact for assigned government clients, building strong relationships in coordination with senior leadership.
  • Support the development and execute social media strategies tailored to government agencies, owning channel plans, content calendars, and publishing workflows.
  • Oversee content production for social channels; draft and edit posts, briefs, and captions; ensure compliance with government policies and brand guidelines.
  • Monitor platforms and community interactions; manage moderation, social listening, and escalation processes per client protocols.
  • Track performance and produce dashboards and insights; recommend optimizations to improve reach, engagement, and sentiment.
  • Assist with new business efforts by contributing research, case studies, proposals, and RFP inputs for public‑sector accounts.
  • Stay current on platform updates, trends, and government communication standards; share relevant learnings with clients and the team.
  • Provide light mentorship and QA support to junior team members; help maintain best practices and process documentation.
Experience That Contributes To Success
  • Extensive and proven experience in social media strategy and account management, with a significant portion dedicated to government or public sector clients.
  • Proven success executing social media plans and campaigns for multi‑stakeholder organizations.
  • Experience managing day‑to‑day client communications and coordinating cross‑functional delivery.
  • Strong command of major platforms (Tik Tok, X, Facebook, Instagram, Linked In) and their strategic applications.
  • Proficiency with social tools and analytics (native platform insights, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, etc.), with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong project management skills; comfortable juggling multiple deadlines and budgets under the guidance of senior leaders.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with attention to accuracy, compliance, and audience needs.
  • Bi‑lingual proficiency in Arabic (written and spoken) is highly preferred.
