Global Treasury, Trade & Tokenization (GTx) continues to undergo a transformative phase marked by the introduction of cutting‑edge products and digital capabilities catering to diverse customer segments. In response to evolving client needs, there is a pressing demand from internal stakeholders to keep pace with the fast‑paced delivery momentum.
FAB GTx is seeking a highly experienced Executive Director (ED) with expertise in the Islamic Solutions aimed at enhancing our presence and improving customer engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a go‑to‑market strategy, commercializing a suite of Islamic solutions, and collaborating with various Product leads to ensure that FAB is a dominant provider of Islamic offerings to clients.
As part of the responsibilities, the individual will drive value creation and collaborate with Coverage across segments as well as GTx Client Solutions, Next Gen Propositions, Products and Platforms teams. Focused on business profitability and revenue imperatives, the individual actively monitors market trends, newer opportunities, performance and drivers to grow market share of the GTx business.
Key Accountabilities- Develop and execute strategies to grow Islamic transaction banking revenues and wallet share.
- Managing a high‑performing Islamic sales portfolio focused on corporates, GREs, MNCs, and financial institutions.
- Drive CASA growth, fee income, and working capital solutions for Shariah‑compliant clients.
- Collaborate with product, coverage, and Shariah boards to deliver innovative Islamic products and services.
- Engage with key stakeholders, regulators, and clients to position FAB as the partner of choice in Islamic GTB.
- Identify corridor‑led opportunities (UAE–Saudi, UAE–India, Africa) leveraging FAB’s global network.
- Identify and develop Cash and Trade business opportunities and profitability across the UAE.
- New Business:
Responsible for Islamic Cash and Trade product growth jointly with the coverage teams in UAE. Execute calling plans for each industry segment in conjunction with relationship managers (as appropriate) to deepen Cash and Trade product penetration across client portfolio. - Use of consultative approach along with the knowledge and experience to design and implement suitable innovative solutions for customer’s needs.
- Responsible for Islamic opportunities and responding to RFPs.
- Customer led generation/origination to increase share of wallet with existing relationships by deep selling new Cash and Trade products and support Coverage team to generate new revenue opportunities from new to bank clients and opportunities.
- Driving Cash and Trade sales for clients, in line with specific needs of clients.
- Delivery of specific revenue targets, CASA/liabilities, returns on risk adjusted assets and equity consistent and commensurate with the Bank’s acceptable risk parameters and pricing.
- Work closely with coverage teams and make the unit head aware of performance gaps in your portfolio.
- Actively engage with client together with the GTx Solutions and Coverage team to build business for the Bank.
- Responsible for responding to RFPs and providing technical expertise to relationship managers.
- Participating in and contributing to deal teams where transactions require bespoke Islamic Cash and Trade solutions.
- Establish strong stakeholder relationships and work with colleagues and partners across the network to build a strong pipeline.
- Partner with coverage teams in contributing to quality credit proposals supporting structuring of existing and new Trade facilities.
- Proactively managing transactional risk in an efficient and profitable manner.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of products, systems, processes, and practices while considering client needs, market developments and trends.
- Actively participate in opportunities to update product skills, understand market trends and competitor behaviours.
- Work closely with Coverage teams across the region and network to propose new markets, clients, and products.
