The Business Development Officer is responsible for generating new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and contributing to the growth of the company's insurance portfolio. The role focuses on acquiring new corporate and individual clients, promoting insurance solutions, and achieving sales and revenue targets while maintaining high levels of customer service and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilitie- sIdentify, develop, and secure new business opportunities to achieve sales and revenue targets
- .Generate leads through networking, referrals, market research, and business development activities
- .Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
- .Conduct client meetings to understand insurance requirements and propose suitable solutions
- .Prepare and present insurance proposals, quotations, and presentations to clients
- .Collaborate with insurers and underwriters to obtain competitive terms and coverage options
- .Negotiate insurance terms and facilitate policy placement and renewals
- .Follow up on leads, quotations, and renewal opportunities to maximize conversion rates
- .Maintain an active sales pipeline and update CRM systems with accurate client information
- .Cross-sell and upsell insurance products to existing clients to increase portfolio value
- .Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the insurance sector
- .Coordinate with operations, claims, and servicing teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and support
- .Attend networking events, industry forums, and client meetings to promote the company's services
- .Ensure all sales activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies
- .Prepare regular sales reports, pipeline updates, and business development activity reports for management
- .Support tender submissions, corporate presentations, and business proposals when required
- .Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and contribute to client retention initiatives
- ce Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Insurance, or a related fiel
- d.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management within the insurance brokerage or insurance industr
- y.Knowledge of corporate and retail insurance products and service
- s.UAE market experience and an established professional network are preferre
- d.Professional insurance qualifications (CII, Dip CII, or equivalent) are an advantag
