We are seeking a skilled field sales professional to promote freight services, develop client relationships, and drive revenue growth in the shipping industry.
Responsibilities- Identify, meet and develop relations with clients to promote freight services.
- Research and create a database of potential clients and markets through telesales, cold calls and market scouting.
- Plan sales visits in dedicated areas, respond to customer inquiries, send quotations and take necessary bookings; engage with team leads to close sales inquiries.
- Continuously aim to increase customer base.
- Execute team’s market coverage and expansion strategies.
- Create a database in the EFS system for sales visits and leads; put forth credit approval requests wherever requested by customers as per policy.
- Follow up on payments and ensure support to close all payment receivables and outstanding.
- Coordinate with customer service and operation teams to ensure customer satisfaction; obtain feedback on service delivery.
- Maintain all customer database details in the EFS system and ensure all credit application details are completed as per policy and protocol.
- Develop confidence‑building relationships with clients.
- Achieve set sales targets.
- Continuously increase revenue streams and client base.
- Contribute to the team’s target achievement.
- Develop product knowledge and related market practices; bring ongoing trade industry updates to focus sales strategies.
- Graduate or MBA in Marketing, Business Development, or a related field.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in PowerPoint presentations.
- Ability to use software‑generated data and business intel.
- 2–5 years of field sales experience in the freight/shipping industry (advantage).
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Self‑initiator with strong prospecting, sales planning, and customer‑needs selling skills.
- Enthusiastic, ambitious, confident, and motivated by target‑based incentives.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team‑player mentality.
- UAE car license is a must.
