Key Responsibilities
- Develops, executes and updates leisure segment strategy for the market and action plans against existing and new target accounts to achieve and exceed sales quotas.
- Identifies new accounts for acquisition through a variety of channels and converts them into loyal accounts.
- Attends trade shows, conferences and industry meetings.
- Plans and executes sales trips (national & international), sales calls, site visits and client entertainment.
- Travel is required.
- Develops strong internal and external customer relationships.
- Analyses and maintains knowledge of customers, market trends and competition.
- Participates in regular business reviews and sales meetings, provides progress reports to ADOS.
- Monitors, collects and analyzes data and communicates all information to relevant team.
- Supervises support staff in the planning, administration and execution of select client events and other sales and marketing promotions.
- Oversees leisure sales support in correspondence and communication to customers, in‑house VIP guests, production reports and overall duties.
- Represents Marriott International worldwide, promoting the company’s quality image at every opportunity and uncovering additional leads through MI Leads.
- Bachelor Degree holder.
- Previous senior leisure sales leadership experience recommended.
- Knowledge of Wholesale, Consortia and Tour Operators segment.
- Experience in the German/UK and CIS market is a plus.
- Having UAE experience with DMCs is a plus.
- Understanding of international feeder markets and buying behaviours.
- Possessing strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Proven prospecting and new business development abilities.
- Closing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
German speaking, preferred. - Superior time management and relationship building.
- Strong organization and follow‑through skills.
- Present and represent all hotels in their specific brand voice.
- Ability to maintain and strengthen relationships with external and internal clients.
- 2‑year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required.
