Job TitleMedical Representative
Job ObjectiveResponsible for managing the business of an assigned product/s and meeting or exceeding sales objectives for that product within territory. Territory covers Abu Dhabi & Al Ain private market.
Key Responsibilities /Duties- Creates call plans and makes effective sales calls on physicians.
- Providing current, accurate, company approved information to physicians and other customers.
- Conducts market research, physician focus groups, patient profiles with key accounts.
- Raises product and Company awareness by calling on thought leaders.
- Maintains knowledge of competitive products, techniques and activities.
- Maintains accurate and current records of physician, clinics, customer calls, and necessarily follow up actions.
- Implement Principals marketing detailing & align on campaign accordingly.
- Maintains an accurate record of product usage per account, manages ordering and availability.
- Promoting and creating demand for the company's products by calling on doctors, and hospitals, in the assigned territory to generate prescriptions and achieve sales targets.
- Enhances sales staff accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members.
- Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
- Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
- Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Ability to communicate in English to a high level, Arabic is an advantage.
- Excellent presentation, listening and negotiation skills.
- Excellent product knowledge of Company Pharmaceutical products.
- Proven aptitude for highly technical data/materials and presenting to KOL’s.
- Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on complex topics to key local knowledge (relationships with relevant Key Opinion Leader’s and hospitals) /Aptitude in chronic medication detailing /Key account management.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and conduct effective sales training.
- Ability and willingness to travel within UAE.
- Possess a valid UAE driver’s license.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
2-4 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industries within Abu Dhabi/Al Ain private market.
EducationBachelor’s degree in Pharmacy / related science discipline
