Electrical Maintenance Technician
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Electrical Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of plant and facility equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on a wide range of industrial electrical systems to ensure smooth production operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on low voltage electrical panels (up to 400V)
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of production machinery and industrial equipment
- Maintain and service cranes, lifting equipment, and rotating machinery
- Perform maintenance on motors, fans, blowers, and power tools
- Conduct PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) and repair faulty equipment
- Carry out vibration monitoring on rotating equipment
- Maintain paint booths, ventilation systems, and oil burners
- Record equipment failures, downtime, and maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance procedures
- Work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or lifting equipment when required
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3–7 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
- Strong knowledge of:
- Electrical panels and troubleshooting
- Motors, VFDs (inverters), and soft starters
- Industrial equipment and production machinery
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance
- Familiarity with electrical testing tools and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Good understanding of safety practices and standards
- Physically fit and able to work in a plant environment
- Experience in automotive or heavy industry
- Knowledge of cranes and lifting systems
- PAT testing certification
- Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge
