Mechanic - Forklift Kizad

The role of the Forklift Maintenance Technician involves inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation. The technician performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and necessary repairs to keep equipment in working order.

• Equipment Inspection – Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, damage, safety, and operational issues.
• Diagnostic Work – Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems in forklifts and related equipment.
• Repairs – Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including replacing parts, rebuilding engines, and fixing hydraulic systems.
• Routine Maintenance – Carry out scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
• Safety Compliance – Ensure all forklifts comply with safety regulations; conduct safety checks and make necessary adjustments.
• Documentation – Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and parts inventory; keep accurate service logs.
• Parts Ordering – Identify and order replacement parts and materials needed for repairs.
• Testing & Quality Control – Test repaired forklifts to verify correct and safe operation and perform quality control checks.
• Customer Service – Interact with customers or colleagues to provide information on equipment issues, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
• Training & Education – Keep up with new forklift technology and maintenance techniques; participate in training programs to improve skills.

• 2-5 years of forklift maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of forklift operation, tools, and spare parts.
• Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs independently.
• Knowledge of safety standards and ability to enforce compliance.
• Excellent documentation and record‑keeping skills.
