Position Overview

ADNOC Drilling is hiring an Assistant Electrician – Rig Operations in Abu Dhabi, UAE to support electrical maintenance activities on assigned offshore or onshore rigs. This oil and gas rig maintenance role focuses on routine inspection, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment while ensuring full compliance with UAE, ADNOC, and Asset Integrity Management standards.

• Conduct scheduled checks on electrical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Report faulty or malfunctioning equipment to Electrician and assist in repairs.
• Perform minor repairs on lighting systems, air conditioning units, refrigerators, derrick lights, and motor belts.
• Check and top up batteries as required.
• Assist in troubleshooting breakdowns by isolating and dismantling equipment.
• Support installation of electrical and telephone cables and maintain updated records and drawings.
• Participate in rig moves by assisting in disconnection and reconnection of electrical equipment.
• Assist in providing power supply support when required.
• Power on and power off equipment as instructed and maintain electrical panels and lamps.
• Comply with ADNOC Drilling HSE policies and Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.

• Completion of Secondary education followed by 2 years full-time Diploma in Electrical Technology.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial electrical equipment.
• Exposure to high voltage AC/DC systems.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work in rig-based operational environments.
